Along with hanging out in Mississippi with cousins, we drove to Memphis with them last week.
A great day, but it was painful to see the motel balcony Martin Luther King Jr. was shot.   We walked down Beale Street, blues street, and drove past the Sun recording studio where Elvis recorded.

And now in central southern Tennessee we are enjoying the graceful hills and gracious people.  Visited friends the Kennamores yesterday to discover a pretty new place to walk.  They took us to a nearby tree that is full of big Blue Heron nests year after year.

So happy to have a few weeks here this year instead of the 10 days or so we were restricted to before.  There’s time to really enjoy being part of the family.
